AI assistants
Pubrivo runs an MCP server, so an AI assistant can read your Channels and schedule posts for you in conversation — “schedule this for Thursday morning on Instagram and Threads”.
https://app.pubrivo.com/mcpAny MCP client that supports remote servers and OAuth can connect. The first time, it sends you to Pubrivo to sign in and approve it for one Workspace (a picker appears if you belong to several). It then appears in Settings › Authorized apps, where you can revoke it at any time.
Connecting
Section titled “Connecting”In Claude, open Settings › Connectors, choose Add custom connector, and give it the address above. In Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http pubrivo https://app.pubrivo.com/mcpIn ChatGPT’s settings, with developer mode on, create a connector with the address above and OAuth as its authentication.
Add Pubrivo to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or to .cursor/mcp.json in a project:
{ "mcpServers": { "pubrivo": { "url": "https://app.pubrivo.com/mcp" } } }Menus move as these apps change; what stays the same is the address, and that the client signs in with OAuth.
What it can do
Section titled “What it can do”| Tool | Does |
|---|---|
list_channels | Lists the Workspace’s Channels, and whether each can take a Post now. |
list_posts | Lists Posts and where each has got to, optionally in a date range. |
schedule_post | Schedules a Post to one or more Channels, at least 15 minutes ahead. |
publish_now | Publishes a Post now — only if you allowed it at approval. |
get_post | Reads one Post, including media readiness and failure details. |
cancel_post | Cancels a Post’s Variants that have not started publishing. |
create_media_upload | Reserves an upload for a local file: the assistant’s shell sends the bytes, not the chat. |
complete_media_upload | Confirms the file arrived whole, so a Post can use it. |
Each tool is one call to the REST API, so an assistant is held to exactly the rules a key is: the 15-minute floor, the network limits, your plan and its storage, and the same 10-minute protection against posting twice.
Images and video
Section titled “Images and video”An assistant attaches a file one of two ways.
- A local file, for an assistant that can run commands, like Claude Code. It reserves the
upload with
create_media_upload, sends the file from your machine withcurl, confirms it withcomplete_media_upload, then names it in the Post as{ "assetId": "…" }. The file goes straight to Pubrivo’s storage and never passes through the conversation. The upload address works for 15 minutes. - A public https address,
{ "url": "https://…" }, for an assistant that can’t run commands on your machine, like Claude or ChatGPT in the browser. Pubrivo fetches it before publishing.
Both are the same as for an API key; see media.
After scheduling, use get_post with the returned Post ID to inspect its media and each
Variant’s readiness, status and failure details. Tools return structuredContent and advertise
an output schema; the same JSON remains available as text for older clients.
Retries match the complete creation request, including media and channel options, within
10 minutes. A retry returns deduplicated: true and existingPostId; changing
media is a new request, not an edit. See the matching rule.
Keeping it safe
Section titled “Keeping it safe”- Scheduling only, by default. When you approve an assistant, publishing immediately is a separate box, left unticked. Without it, everything it makes waits at least 15 minutes, in the Calendar, where you can cancel it.
- Labelled. Every Post it makes shows the app’s name on Home and in the Calendar’s Agenda view.
- One Workspace. It acts only in the Workspace you approved it for, and stops if you leave it.
